Our little town might be flush with eateries and coffee shops, but at Hog & Bean, we truly believe that we have something new and different to offer.

We are an independent café serving up delicious, homemade breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes every day of the week. But that’s not all… We are also proud to be one of a few local coffee roasters.

At Hog & Bean, we roast our own coffee beans that you can try with us ,or purchase to take home and enjoy. Our coffee beans pack a punch and make a wonderful gift, too.

Every day of the week we serve up traditional English breakfast alongside a variety of tasty brunch options. We also have a variety of lighter bites to choose from, for example our homemade sausage or bacon sandwiches. Let’s not forget about our alternatives like toast with a choice of several condiments, marmalade and Jams that are made locally to Deal.

For lunch, we have a daily hot and cold menu, including a selection of made-to-order sandwiches and baguettes, as well as soups, salads, and other dishes from around the world.

Our menu always includes a balance of meat and vegetarian dishes, and we’re always happy to cater to special dietary requirements.

A super friendly cafe with great food and ambience

During our two day stay in Deal we came here three times, twice for coffee and once for lunch. It is a friendly, slightly quirky place offering lovely home-made cakes and some original lunch choices. I had a chilli Scotch egg with chilli jam and salad, a large plateful and really tasty. My husband had quiche and salad, two slices on the plate. All really good value. The coffee is roasted in house and delicious. Covid arrangements were very thorough.

Sunday lunch to die for

Roast pork loin and crackling. Apple sauce and veg, but the best part was the roast potatoes and gravy.i am very particular about my gravy this was top notch..they also catered for my vegetarian husband who was very impressed with the roast . clean and friendly with helpful polite staff And a traditional rhubarb crumble with proper custard.. Coffee very very good and they had oatmilk .I would definitely come here again well done hog and bean . If you are in the area pay this little gem a visit .x

We are visitors to Deal - loved this cafe. The service and food were excellent. Friendly welcome, efficient service, the cheese scones were great and the carrot cake too. We would definitely recommend and would be there every day if we lived closer!!

Horse Box

Had a walk along the beach on Sunday and the horse box is a great addition. I was served by a lovely young girl (dark hair and glasses) she was really welcoming, bright and friendly, and the coffee was top notch, really tasty and good value for money. I will definitely go back again next time I'm in Deal.

Wonderful Sunday lunch

Wonderful Sunday lunch We had a take away Sunday roast on recommendation of a local and it was wonderful. Fresh veg, plenty of meat and a tasty pudding. No complaints from us!
